Vive Le Buzz, Publicis Acquires India's Beehive

Publicis Groupe this morning said it acquired India’s Beehive Communications, an independent agency servicing marketers in South Asia. The deal marks Publicis’ seventh acquisition in India since mid-2012.

Terms were not disclosed, but Beehive was founded in 2003 and currently has more than 130 employees providing creative, reputation management, media, digital and research.

Beehive’s account roster includes more than 50 brands, such as Malaysia Tourism, General Motors, Korea Tourism, Jubiliant Retail, India Bulls Finance and Bisleri.

Headquartered in Mumbai, the agency also has a presence in Delhi and Bangalore, Beehive will be re-branded Publicis Beehive and will become part of Publicis’s global network. Founder Sanjit Shastri will remain CEO, reporting to Publicis CEO of South Asia Nakul Chopra.
