More deals in
broadcast and Internet radio ensued this week, with an advertising representation sales agreement between AdLarge Media and Envision Radio Networks, and the acquisition of Business TalkRadio Network
by rival Biz Talk Radionetworks.
The AdLarge-Envision deal will make advertising inventory from Envision available on AdLarge’s Return on Investment Network. The Envision
station network includes affiliate partners in the top 25 U.S. media markets and helps bolster AdLarge’s core audience of 25-54 and 18-49, equally balanced between male and female listeners,
delivered via a variety of music formats.
The deal comes shortly after the AdLarge ROI Network debuted on RADAR, the Nielsen Audio (formerly Arbitron) measurement service for national
radio advertising networks.
In addition, BizTalk Radionetworks announced the acquisition of a close (and almost identically named) competitor, Business TalkRadio Network, in a deal
including the latter’s radio, TV and online properties. These assets complement BizTalk Radionetworks’ broadcast and online radio operations and its sister company BizTV, both of which are
owned by Center Post Holdings and target an audience of small business owners.
Center Post Executive Vice President Scott Miller stated: “With the combination of BizTV and BTRN
the company will have a solid foothold in both radio and TV. The combined reach will exceed 30 million TV households and millions of radio listeners.”
A number of programs
catering to small business owners are carried on both networks, and Center Post expects that number to increase as it integrates their operations
