Dentsu Expands In-Store Operations

With the consumer markets expanding rapidly in both markets, Dentsu said Thursday it has opened two new promotional services units in Asia, including outposts in Malaysia and Thailand. According to the company the growing spending power of consumers in both markets has prompted increased demand from retailers for “high-quality Japanese-style promotional services.” The new offices will specialize in retail store development and in-store promotions and events. The Malaysia office is located in Kuala Lumpur while the Thailand office has opened in Bangkok. Both of the new offices are subsidiaries of Dentsu’s Promo Tec, based in Singapore. That unit is overseen by Dentsu Tec, which is run by President and CEO Hiroaki Hori.
