SPEED Selects Proteus

SPEED Channel Thursday said it commissioned mobile marketing technology firm Proteus Inc. to create a mobile application for the 34th Annual Barrett-Jackson Classic Car Auction. Through the program, users will be able to make fantasy bids on the sales prices of upcoming cars during SPEED's coverage of the auction. SPEED will promote 24 feature cars during the broadcast, giving viewers an opportunity to guess the sales price prior to the car being auctioned off the block. Responses will be tabulated in real time and shown in the broadcast shortly after each car is sold.
