FindWhat.com, a Fort Myers, Fla.-based online marketplace search engine company, yesterday announced the addition of Gerald W. Hepp to its board of directors and audit committee. Hepp, a certified
public accountant, told
MDN that his first challenge with FindWhat.com will be "to take a hard look at the audit situation of the financial statements, and the transparency of the financial
statements that will be filed with the 10-K for the year 2004." Hepp's expertise in accounting matters-- he served for 32 years as a partner at Plante & Moran, a major regional certified public
accounting and management consulting firm--was one of the major reasons he was brought on board at FindWhat.com. "His wealth of experience--as well as intimate knowledge of accounting matters--will
serve the company well going forward," stated Craig Pisaris-Henderson, chairman and CEO of FindWhat.com.
