Travel Platform Sojern Raises $10 Million, Names Atkisson CFO

Data-driven traveler ad platform Sojern is expected to Tuesday announced it has raised $10 million in Series C funding. The round of funding was led by Triangle Peak Partners. Existing investors Norwest Venture Partners, Trident Capital, Focus Ventures and Industry Ventures also participated in the round.

Sojern’s platform uses real-time bidding (RTB) to reach travelers. The company says it will use the funding to improve its platform and will hire commercial, engineering and data science employees.

Additionally, the company has appointed Curtis Atkisson as chief financial officer. He was previously co-founder of Affinity Labs.

The company was recently ranked number 60 on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 list. It saw 3,811% fiscal year revenue growth between 2008 and 2012.
