WPP’s Mindshare has formed a new unit dedicated to luxury brands and has promoted Danielle Koffer to run it as executive director.
Previously Koffer was managing director on the Land Rover business. Jaguar/ Land Rover, a division of Tata Motors will be managed under the Mindshare luxury brand division. Koffer is credited with overseeing two launches for Land Rover this year including campaigns for the new Range Rover and the new Range Rover Sport brands.
Mindshare’s luxury group will also be involved in handling fashion brand Chanel. Earlier this year WPP won the estimated $200 million global Chanel business after pitching a dedicated agency called Plus that handles creative, digital and media for the iconic French fashion house. Mindshare services the client within the Plus framework.
Koffer will report David Pullan, who was recently named head of Mindshare’s New York office. (He’s also the lead executive for North America on the shop’s Unilever account.)
“By codifying our extensive experience in the coveted luxury sector, we are able to share best practices while simultaneously creating customized plans for each brand,” said Pullan.

FYI - Ford has not owned Land Rover/Jaguar since 2008 when it was sold to Tata Motors in India.
Corrected and thanks for the heads up!
