A Search For SEOP Spells Digital Marketing

What does SEOP.com want with the URL digitalmarketing.com? The company, which focuses on digital marketing and search engine optimization services, just paid "six figures" for the name.

The company plans to redirect its Web site to the new name within the next six weeks. Eric Schiffer, SEOP founder, calls the purchase a major step that will better represent the breadth of the company's services, talents, and proprietary technology.

About 110 million domain names end in .com, out of 265 million registered globally, according to Verisign, but even with all those names .com is about to get a little more crowded.

The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers recently announced that more than 100 new generic Top-Level Domains (gTLDs) are waiting to go live. The ICANN said expanding choices will support the expansion of the Internet by building the frame. The plan is to increase the current 22 gTLDs to 1,400.

ICANN began releasing the names like .marketing, .social, and .agency earlier this month. They have been assigned to Fern pass LLC, United TLD Holdco Ltd., and Steel Falls, LLC, respectively.

Not every company wants their own identify, but Internet, media and search engines have applied for their own domain extensions such as .google, .apple, .microsoft, and .nike.

Digital marketing is increasing as companies become more and more aware of the the importance of the online user. I'm using http://boostoneseo.com right now and they have completely changed my marketing business. Anyone who isn't concentrating on digital marketing will be irrelevant this year.

Given how complicated Google has made if for one dimensional marketing companies the last few years, seems to be a good fit if the brand can serve as an "all in one" business driver.

SEOP is taking smart steps into securing the future real estate of the terminology that will be very important and relevant in the future of online marketing. I am glad to be a part of such a forward thinking organization.
