Wet Dog Media Gets In Touch With Her Sporty Side

Wet Dog Media has announced plans to launch Her Sports, a national magazine targeting women with active sports lifestyles. Among the activities the publication will chronicle are mountain biking, snowboarding and surfing.

"Her Sports is for real women who balance the sports they love with busy, successful lifestyles," said publisher Dawna Stone in a press release. "This is not a magazine for women with an eye on getting skinny or flattening their abs in two weeks. It's for all those women who feel left out by the current women's fitness magazines."

In addition to sports training advice, Her Sports will cover active and adventure travel, athletic gear and apparel, body and mind issues, and nutrition. The magazine will be edited by Christina Gandolfo, previously editor-in-chief of Triathlete magazine. It will launch with a circulation of 50,000.
