Snyder Leaves Mediabrands For Consumer Brand, Steps Down As Communications Chief

Lauren Snyder is stepping down as Chief Communications Officer of Interpublic’s Mediabrands unit to take an undisclosed role at a consumer brand.

In a memo to Mediabrands staff, CEO Matt Seiler credited Snyder with building the division’s reputation and awareness over the past two years. He said her responsibilities would be handled by Dan Friedman and Belle Lenz, both vice presidents-global corporate communications at Mediabrands, for the time being.

Snyder joined Mediabrands in 2011 from Chief Communications Officer of travel destination marketer Kerzner International. Previously, she was senior vice president-corporate communications at Gemstar-TV Guide.
