PubMatic Hires New CMO, Bolsters Partnership With Advance Digital

Sell-side platform (SSP) PubMatic on Monday announced the appointment of Terri Walter as chief marketing officer. The company also announced it has been selected by Advance Digital to run multiscreen programmatic ad campaigns.

Walter was formerly head of global brand marketing at Microsoft Advertising. She has over 20 years of marketing experience and has also worked for Razorfish and DoubleClick. She will be based in New York City.

Advance Digital is a digital publisher that has until now only used programmatic for display advertising. The company is expanding to also include mobile, tablet and video inventory.

The publisher houses local Web sites, including NJ.com, cleveland.com, oregonlive.com, nola.com, and others. In total, Advance claims to see nearly 60 million unique visitors and over 520 million page views per month. 

The two companies have worked together for the past two and a half years for Advance's display advertising. With the addition of its mobile, tablet and video inventory, Advance will create a private marketplace for buyers.
