New York Times editor and columnist Bill Keller is leaving the Gray Lady to lead online journalism startup The Marshall Project "is a great flashing sign that reads,
'Newspapers are the past,'" writes Hamilton Nolan. Still, "a former
Times editor going to a news startup is a big deal. News startups realizing they shouldn't hire former newspaper
editors to lead them will be a bigger deal."
