Advertising revenue grew by 51% at Mail Online in the five months to the end of February. However impressive the growth, however, the £23m earned in five months falls short of the £60m
annual target set by its owner, Daily Mail and General Trust. The site is running at £4.6m per month in ad revenue, just short of the £5m required. DMG Media, which included The Mail and
The Mail on Sunday print editions, reported an overall rise of 3% in advertising revenue, year-on-year -- but with a 4% drop in circulation, overall revenue fell by 1%.
