Advertising Women of New York (AWNY) has named Lisa Cochrane, senior vice president of marketing at Allstate Corporation, as its 2014 Woman of the Year. She will receive the honor at an awards reception and dinner in New York City in June.
AWNY’s Woman of the Year is the organization’s most prestigious honor -- it celebrates a female leader for her outstanding achievements in the advertising industry and significant positive impact on the world around her, with a particular focus on accomplishments in the past year.
“We are thrilled to recognize Lisa Cochrane, an innovator and role model, as our Woman of the Year,” commented AWNY Board President Carol Watson. "Beyond her countless professional achievements, she gives of herself in ways that truly inspire.”
AWNY said that Cochrane is respected as a creative innovator, leader, mentor and humanitarian.
"Lisa has helmed some of America’s best-loved and highly awarded ad campaigns. Her work inspires trust, laughter and strong bonds between her brands and consumers,” said Laura Desmond, CEO, Starcom MediaVest Group, which handles Allstate’s media duties. “She believes in the power of marketing to make a difference, and to make the world a better place.”
