Runewitsch Named Social, Mobile NA Head For Burnett

Leo Burnett has named Rupert Runewitsch as its head of its social and mobile practice in North America.

Based in San Francisco, Runewitsch will work alongside and report to James Kirkham, the global head of the agency’s social and mobile practice.

Runewitsch will be responsible for helping shape the social and mobile strategies and activations across Burnett’s portfolio of North American clients. As part of that task, he’ll be forging new ties and partnerships in the Silicon Valley region to raise the shop’s level of fluency in the space in order to expand its footprint in the sector.

Runewitsch came from UK digital agency, Holler, which was purchased by the Publicis Groupe in 2012. (Kirkham also joined the agency via the Holler acquisition.)

Burnett fused its social and mobile practice as one in June 2013, on the theory that social cannot exist without mobile, and vice versa.
