Adap.tv Inks Deals With 19 Japanese Buyers And Sellers

AOL’s Adap.tv announced late Wednesday that the company has signed 19 new Japanese media firms as clients. The programmatic video ad platform opened its Tokyo, Japan office last September.

On the buy-side, Adap.tv has signed Advertising.com Japan; CMerTV; D.A.Consortium; FreakOut; Geniee; GMO AD Partners; Linkshare Japan; MediaMath; Mediba; s10 Interactive; and TubeMogul Japan.

On the sell-side, Adap.tv has signed Adingo; Dwango; Geniee; Golf Digest Online; Impress Watch Corp.; Nippon Tevelision Network Corp.; RealNetworks; SkillUp Video Technologies Corp.; and TV Tokyo Corp.

All of the new partners can join the Adap.tv Marketplace, where buyers and sellers can trade media with one another directly. Additionally, each partner has access to Adap.tv’s buy- and sell-side platforms (Demand Path for sellers, Audience Path for buyers).

Adap.tv claims advertisers will have access to over 100 million impressions each from from 30,000 Japanese and foreign Websites.

The company noted that a “fully localized platform” of theirs could be on the horizon for Japanese media companies. Launching a Japan-focused platform would be akin to what PubMatic did a few weeks ago.
