WGBH's "Innovation Hub" Gains National Traction

WGBH Radio's Innovation Hub is on a national roll.

The Boston-produced public radio show, which focuses on emerging technologies and innovation, has teamed up with online business and technology news outlet Xconomy.

Xconomy will post the weekly program for each of its nine markets, which include Boston, New York, Seattle, Boulder/Denver, San Diego, Texas, Detroit, San Francisco and Wisconsin. The weekly posts will include a preview Q&A with one of the show's guests.  The show is hosted by WGBH's Kara Miller.

Miller started Innovation Hub in 2011. The show has featured interviews with many of the nation's top innovation thinkers and tech leaders, including alternative medicine advocate Deepak Chopra, MIT social scientist Sherry Turkle, science writer Jared Diamond, online education advocate Sal Khan, tech writer David Pogue, Harvard political philosopher Michael Sandel, physicist Brian Greene, and Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer.

WGBH's partnership with Xconomy comes just a few weeks after content provider Public Radio International said it would make the show available to more than 750 public radio stations around the country.
