IPG Mediabrands Management Shakeup

IPG Mediabrands is shaking up its top North American management. Jacki Kelley is leaving the position of CEO of the region (she was also president of global clients) to pursue other opportunities, including possibly a different role at IPG.

The shift comes after client Microsoft consolidated its global media planning and buying assignment with Dentsu Aegis Network in April. UM had handled portions of the account outside the U.S., which it lost back in 2011.

Also, Guy Beach is leaving the North America division’s COO spot to take on the role of Global Chief Commercial Officer, the agency confirmed. Beach is being replaced by Chris Loll, who is joining the agency from WPP’s Wunderman, where he led the New York office and was in charge of innovation efforts for the North America region.

Loll will report to Matt Seiler, Global CEO IPG Mediabrands.

On the shakeup, Seiler stated: “In the interim, with Jacki’s move to IPG, our media agency brand leadership teams in North America will manage direct connections with global clients based in North America. Global client leads at the agencies will also be closely aligned with the brand leaders and the North American COO [Loll] ensuring further consistency, efficiency and accountability across the network.”

Prior to his most recent post at Wunderman, Loll piloted the London office of both Wunderman and VML. At WPP, Loll guided major brands, like BBC, Xbox, Hilton, Best Buy, Bacardi and Coca-Cola.
