With summer upon us, travel advertisers
are out in full force.
According to ChoiceStream’s July audience cost calendar, which ranks ad segments based on cost on programmatic exchanges, the top 10 most expensive segments
were all travel-related.
Even spots 11-13 were travel-related.
Advertisers looking to draw vacationers to Portugal, Greece, Italy, Spain and France paid the most, per ChoiceStream.
However, not all travel-related segments increased in price. Cruise advertising, for example, has decreased in price for two straight months. In June, cruise advertising was one of the 100 cheapest segments. In March, it was one of the 15 most expensive (out of 315).
