The majority of small-to-medium sized businesses have not update their practices to be compliant with CASL, new Canadian Antispam Legislation, according to a new report from Constant Contact. The
research revealed that only 42 percent of respondents admitted that they understand how to make their businesses CASL compliant. The new legislation, which went into effect earlier this month,
requires that marketers obtain "explicit" versus "implied" permission. Marketers that do not comply face hefty fines.
