California governor Jerry Brown has sent out an email campaign to supporters pushing a $6-billion water bond in. In the email, Brown explained that the drought conditions in California are getting more serious by the day and acknowledges that something must be done to stop this impending problem. In the email, he explains that a $11.1-billion bond which is on the ballot for November is "pork-laden." Instead, he proposes a leaner plan developed by his office for a $6 billion bond that will help fund efforts to stop the drought.
