With football season fast approaching, 83% of college football fans choose to watch games from home and 61% of fans host a game party at home at least once a month, according to ADlytics Research Report.
Now, Schwan's Consumer Brands wants these fans to celebrate with its pizza brands Red Baron, Tony's, and Freschetta as part of the "Tailgate At Your Place" promotion running through January 10, 2015.
"‘Tailgating’ at home has never been more popular,” said Bob Waldron, President, Schwan’s Consumer Brands. “We are happy to facilitate the trend, taking living-room tailgating to a new level with our exciting college football integrated promotion.”
Developed by digital agency HelloWorld, the TailgateAtYourPlace.com college football online promotion serves as a digital destination for home-tailgating needs with a variety of daily interaction opportunities.
After registering on TailgateatYourPlace.com, fans select their favorite college football theme from a selection of 15 college football teams to receive a virtual living room decorated with their schools’ colors. From there, the experience offers participants activities including recipes, contests, trivia, games and tips for hosting home tailgating parties.
To encourage regular engagement with the site, HelloWorld is introducing contests awarding more than $150,000 in prizes. Daily instant win prizes include Visa gift cards, Fanatic.com gift codes and iPads. Grand prizes include five monthly sweepstakes of $10,000 cash, a home-entertainment makeover and a kitchen makeover. Then, to generate social buzz, additional sweepstakes entries can be acquired through “liking” brand Facebook pages and sharing the promotion and recipes on personal Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest pages.
This promotion was designed using analytical user behavior. To that end, HelloWorld developed a campaign that heavily involved sweepstakes because they appeal to both current and potential customers. The sweepstakes was also designed to encourage social sharing, daily visits and ongoing interaction. And HelloWorld purposely optimized the site to allow for participants to visit while they are on-the-go.
HelloWorld has worked with Schwan's for two years and has created promotional campaigns, CRM programs and loyalty solutions in 44 countries for companies including Coca-Cola, Microsoft, The Gap, Live Nation, Yahoo!, and Procter & Gamble. Formerly known as ePrize, the company is headquartered in Detroit, with offices in Chicago, Los Angeles, Nashville, New York, and Seattle.
