IgnitionOne Appoints Former TagMan Cofounder Baron To CRO

IgnitionOne has appointed Jon Baron to the position of chief revenue officer. The London-based cofounder of attribution company TagMan will oversee global sales efforts and work to expand revenue opportunities that benefit advertising agencies and brand marketers.

Baron brings to IgnitionOne extensive knowledge on tag management and attribution as well as the inner workings of the Internet. He believes IgnitionOne's technology can resolve many challenges in today's marketing technology landscape, which is filled with disparate platforms and integration issues.

"Jon has huge amounts of experience not only in tag management, but in cloud-based marketing technology, digital marketing and advertising," said IgnitionOne CEO Will Margiloff. "As a member of the executive team, Jon's insights will be invaluable in enhancing existing advanced tagging capabilities while bringing new and innovating ideas to our robust stack that simplify marketers' lives."

Ensighten acquired TagMan in March 2014. Along with the acquisition came brand partnerships with Virgin America, Travelocity, John Lewis, Marriott, and DirecTV.

Prior to serving as TagMan CEO, Baron previously held positions with Microsoft, where he built MSN's first international sales team, and Vibrant Media where he built out its international and real-time bidding (RTB) capabilities.

Baron's appointment follows IgnitionOne's acquisition of mobile analytics company Human Demand, and $20 million in Series B funding.
