RON SOMMER & others: Deutsche Telekom

Earlier this month, RON SOMMER (pictured) stepped down as Deutsche Telekom's CEO under pressure from the German government, which holds a 43% stake in the country's dominant phone company. The Bonn-based Deutsche Telekom also named 72-year-old supervisory board member Helmut Sihler as temporary replacement until a permanent successor is found. Bertelsmann management board member GUNTER THIELEN, who currently heads the company's media services unit Arvato, was named as Middelhoff's replacement. Chief Financial Officer SIEGFRIED LUTHER becomes deputy CEO.
