Mobile ad platform xAd on Thursday announced the appointment of Magid Abraham, executive chairman, CEO and co-founder of comScore, to its board of directors.

“We have been looking for mentors to guide our team as we further evolve our technology,” stated Dipanshu Sharma, CEO of xAd. “Having built comScore from the ground up with a focus on data, measurement and privacy, and having led the company through a billion dollar valuation, we could not ask for a better mentor and board member than Magid. His guidance will be invaluable as we continue to develop our business.”

xAd last week raised $50 million in a round led by Institutional Venture Partners.
