Kia isn't the first brand that springs to mind as needing a luxury ambassador. But the auto brand has one nonetheless: LeBron the Great. The NBA All-Star has inked a multi-year partnership with Kia Motors America that makes him K900 Luxury Ambassador. 

The automaker says James reached out to Kia to give the K900 a try. The Cleveland Cavaliers player has a fleet of exotic cars -- and Kia, for its part, has been the official auto partner of the NBA since 2008.

According to Kia, James posted: “Rolling around in my K900. Love this car!,” on his Twitter account with photos of the car. 

Kia has been using NBA All-Star Blake Griffin in its ads since 2011 when he jumped over a Kia Optima to make a dunk. Last year, Kia paired him with comic actor Jack McBrayer as sidekick. Other ambassadors for Kia are tennis superstar Rafael Nadal and U.S. Women’s Open champion Michelle Wie.

No word on ads yet, but you can be sure those will happen. Los Angeles-based David & Goliath handles.
