Capital One Supports Comedy At The Kennedy

Capital One is embarking on a $5 million, five-year commitment to support “Comedy at the Kennedy Center,” a program focused on elevating comedy as an art form and uniting the local community together through laughter.

This weekend, the Kennedy Center is awarding its 17th annual Mark Twain Prize for American Humor to Jay Leno, the former host of "The Tonight Show." To pay tribute to Leno and bring laughter to the streets of DC in his honor, Capital One is enlisting the help of Leno’s former intern Ross Mathews, the host of his own talk show, “Hello Ross,” on E!

Mathews will make surprise appearances throughout DC and perform reenactments of Leno’s famous man-on-the-street stunts.

In addition, starting Nov.17, Capital One will host a Capital One District of Comedy social sweepstakes awarding two grand prize winners tickets to the signature comedy event featuring Leno on April 8, 2015, complete with transportation within 25 miles of the Kennedy Center, a merchandise gift card, and a Visa gift card for dinner for two. Consumers can enter for a chance to win at Facebook.com/CapitalOne.
