CBS Outdoor Comes 'Out,' Literally: Rebrands Outfront Media

Following its spinoff from CBS  Corp., CBS Outdoor Americas Inc. this morning announced it will rename itself Outfront Media Inc., effective Nov. 20.

"Outfront captures exactly who we are," Outfront Media CEO Jeremy Male said in a statement, adding that the company will utilize its own media -- out-of-home media -- “From Times Square to the Sunset Strip” to promote the company’s new identity.

The company said the name reflects the breadth of its media portfolio, which has expanded from conventional outdoor media to include 100,000 displays in both static billboards and digital out-of-home media.

The company will also change its New York Stock Exchange ticker symbol to “OUT.”
