Turner Taps Kim As Chief Data Strategist, SVP Of Ad Ops

In a move representative of the convergence of digital and “traditional” media -- and of the important role "Big Data" plays in the media landscape today -- Turner Broadcasting on Thursday announced the appointment of Stephano Kim as SVP of ad operations and chief data strategist of the company’s ad sales division.

Kim has previously held leadership positions at Rocket Fuel, AOL and Shift, among others companies.

The group he will lead at Turner is new to the company, per a release, and will be focused on using data to connect consumers to premium branded content.

“We are excited to have someone with Stephano’s background and experience join our company and take on this important role,” stated Lenny Daniels, president of Turner Sports and to whom Kim will report. “Stephano will help expand our company’s data infrastructure and capabilities that will help further grow revenue and consumer insights across our company. His professional experience is diverse and will bring a different perspective to this important new role within our company.”

Kim will be based in New York.
