Utzschneider Named New Yahoo SVP Sales For Americas

Yahoo has named Lisa Utzschneider as its new SVP of sales for the Americas, replacing Ned Brody, who is taking a new post as senior vice president, advertising technology and strategy. She will report directly to CEO Marissa Mayer.

Utzschneider has been VP, global advertising sales for Amazon and has worked there since 2008. Prior to that, she was an executive for a decade and held advertising and sales posts at Microsoft.

At Amazon, she will be replaced by Seth Dellaire, moving up from another sales executive post there.

“Lisa has a demonstrated track record as a leader and as a business builder, focused on creating and expanding sales relationships as well as scaling technological innovation,” said Mayer in a statement. “She brings unique strengths to Yahoo in terms of identifying new opportunities to maximize the value of advertising in a rapidly expanding and evolving media landscape.”
