McKinney Launches Super-Cool GingerbreadBNB, An Airbnb-Like Holiday Charity Effort

So what's McKinney up to this holiday season? Agency employees put their collective heads together and came up with a "holiday card" effort that would instantly get people into the holiday spirit at the press of a button and feel good about giving in honor of clients, partners and friends.

What did they come up with? A very Airbnb-like site, GingerbreadBNB, that invites people to rent a gingerbread house for the holidays. Anyone can book a virtual stay and all of the money will go to Robin Hood, New York’s largest poverty-fighting organization. People can select a house to rent for themselves or as a gift.

Maybe you’re a hipster and prefer a Modern House made of gluten-free gingerbread and locally sourced candy canes. Traditionalists might prefer the Rustic Cabin tucked away in the mouthwatering Candy Rock Mountains. For holiday trippers, a vintage candy camper might be just the thing. Once you make your selection, book your stay with a donation and share a postcard on your social pages.

Whatever gingerbread house one chooses, one will get that warm, holiday glow knowing they've given a New Yorker in need a safe, warm place to stay.  Every $100 raised provides a homeless family with shelter. Now isn't that what the holiday spirit is all about?
