HUGO LAI has joined
Universal McCann San Francisco (UM SF) as VP group media director. Lai will lead strategic media development for UM SF’s technology accounts, focusing primarily on
Microsoft’s IT/Developer efforts. He was most recently vp associate media director at Optimedia @ Publicis & Hal Riney, San Francisco. Lai helped lead the Hewlett-Packard account through their merger
with Compaq, and managed their pre-merger B2B media efforts in 15 countries worldwide. He has also managed Acer Corp. globally, and worked on General Motors, Sprint PCS, Clinique and Sees Candies
accounts, among others.
