DigitasLBI NA has appointed Ronald Ng to chief creative officer, North America to oversee creative teams in six offices across the U.S., the network's largest region. Ng will work alongside Chris Clarke, chief creative officer for DigitasLBi International, to facilitate cross-channel communication and projects.

He succeeds Lincoln Bjorkman, who left the Publicis-owned agency in late 2013 to join Wunderman, and the agency waited nearly a year to fill the vacancy with the right person.

Ng brings 20 years of industry experience to this role. Most recently, he served as CCO at BBDO & Proximity Singapore, since 2012. Under his leadership, the office won Agency of the Year twice in a row at the Singapore Creative Circle Awards. His other notable accomplishments include “World Under Water,” a Web site that enables people to see what their neighborhoods might look like following floods caused by climate change.

Ng also oversaw creative for Jeep's “Two Worlds” campaign, which was inducted into the CLIO Awards’ Hall of Fame this year for Print. Another career highlight: the Ronald’s Kinect-powered 2011 installation for Autism Speaks that was accepted into the permanent collection of New York’s Museum of Modern Art.

“Ronald is a seasoned leader and a creative force to be reckoned with,” says DigitasLBi NA CEO Tony Weisman. “You can see his ingenuity and passion in every piece of work that he does. He’s been rightly recognized by the industry numerous times for driving innovative, cross-channel programs, and his creative leadership inspires both teams and clients."

“DigitasLBi is a culture of fearless doing — doing phenomenal work that hasn’t been done before, with purpose and speed. In addition to breakthrough work like American Express' Small Business Saturday and Taco Bell’s Mobile app launch last fall, there is so much magic that permeates all that they do," says Ng. "And the energy is contagious, as is the camaraderie and momentum. There is no place I’d rather work at this moment in my career. I’m ready to dig in, roll up my sleeves and get started.”
