Fox Networks Taps Lefkowitz As EVP, Ad Sales

Longtime senior advertising executive for the Fox cable network, Bruce Lefkowitz, has been promoted to executive vice president of advertising sales for Fox Networks Group.

Lefkowitz, who had been executive vice president of advertising sales for Fox Cable Entertainment, will now be in charge of all broadcast, cable, sports, Spanish-language media and non-linear platforms for advertising sales.

He will be the second-highest-ranking advertising executive in the Fox Networks Group, reporting to Toby Byrne, president of advertising sales of FNG.

The move is part of an earlier restructuring at FNG, which resulted in a staff reduction through buyouts and staff cuts. One of those departures included Lou LaTorre, president of advertising sales for Fox Cable Entertainment Networks.

Byrne states that Lefkowitz will supervise six new “agency leads,” where the sales team will align with specific media agencies. Another major priority will be new advertising “product innovation.” Recently, Fox bought TrueX, a digital advertising platform.

Lefkowitz has been with Fox Cable Entertainment since 2002. Previously, he was senior vice president of national advertising sales for Discovery Networks. Before that, starting in 1996, he was vice president of syndication advertising sales and business development for New World Sales and Marketing. He also held executive positions at Turner Broadcasting.
