Dentsu Appoints Horler To New U.S. CEO Post To Focus On Growth

Dentsu Aegis Network has promoted Rob Horler to the newly created post of U.S. CEO from CEO of Dentsu Northern Europe. The company said the changes positioned it to take a more aggressive role in the United States.

Horler, who will relocate to New York from London, will continue to report to Nigel Morris, CEO of Dentsu Aegis Network Americas & EMEA. He officially steps into the new role April 2015.

Horler joined Carat Interactive as managing partner in 2000. In 2002, Rob was promoted to managing director of Carat Interactive before going on to found Diffiniti, which became one of the largest standalone digital media agencies in the U.K. In 2009, Diffiniti was integrated into Dentsu Aegis's iProspect network as part of the global strategy to bring together search and digital performance.

"The U.S. economy continues to show its strength, resilience and innovation, with its advertising spend now exceeding its 2007, pre-recession peak, Morris said in a statement. "For Dentsu Aegis Network, the U.S. has been a great success over the last five years, and it will be a key driver of our future growth."

Morris said having a dedicated CEO will take the business to the next level. Horler's experience and expertise in a variety of digital media and deep understanding of the company's operating model made him standout during an extensive internal and external global search to find a CEO.
