Everyone's getting into advertising! Big Picture Entertainment. a film marketing firm, has launched Rec Room, a new division that will focus on helping its clients make better use of digital media by
creating storytelling content to connect with audiences in, as they say, ways that traditional media can't.
Of the direction, Rec Room Co-Founder Jonathan
Helfgot said: “Where you win is when you make
something entertaining but serve a strategic marketing purpose. You can make something that goes viral and gets conversations on blogs, but if it doesn’t connect emotionally then it’s not
successful. People don’t want to be sold to.”
Rec Room will operate as an independent division of Big Picture and will handle clients such as Papa John's, Fox Sports,
LinkedIn, Netflix, Sony Pictures, Coors and the New York Knicks.
