Google Play turns a conversation with actor Jack Black into a charming animated film, in which he reveals why he never made it as a surfer (they get up too early), and why he was made for musical theater. BBH L.A. is the agency, and it’s part of a project called “California Inspires Me,” a collaboration between Google and California Sunday Magazine. The “School of Rock” star even has a few heart-felt shout-outs for Styx, Steve Miller, and yes, even Journey.
