Vubiquity Taps gyro Denver For Global AOR Duties

Ad shop gyro Denver has been appointed Global Agency of Record for Vubiquity, a worldwide content provider for cable companies and other distribution outlets. The selection came after a client review of several agencies.

It's the first Global AOR appointment by the client. In the past, it used various agencies on a project basis.

The agency is tasked with shaping Vubiquity’s brand positioning and design and will develop an integrated ad campaign for the company.

The agency was hired by Vubiquity’s new EVP of marketing and communications Michelle Edelman. Prior to joining Vubiquity, Edelman was a vice president at Warner Brothers.

“gyro’s global capabilities and cutting-edge approach make them an ideal fit as we refresh our advertising and communications,” said Edelman. “We are excited to be working with gyro to create bold campaigns that highlight the extensive set of services we offer to content owners and service providers that enable them to monetize their premium content.”

Among other services, Vubiquity delivers on-demand content to cable and other distributors. The firm, for example, was hired by Sean Combs’ Revolt TV to bring its video-on-demand content to Comcast, Time Warner and Verizon FiOs. The Revolt content launched on those services last month.

With primary offices in Los Angeles and London, Vubiquity offers a range of services globally for linear and on-demand viewing that support rental, sell-through, ad-supported and subscription business models.

Daphne Fink Taber, president, gyro Denver, said: “As a central part of today’s complex video ecosystem, Vubiquity has a great story to tell, and we are excited to be chosen to help them tell it.”

Vubiquity spent about $175,000 on U.S. measured media in 2013 according to Kantar.
