MIKE SLADE: Avenue A

Avenue A has named MIKE SLADE, former Chairman and CEO of Starwave Corp., as the newest addition to its eight-member Board of Directors. At Starwave, Slade was responsible for the launch of ESPN.com, ABCNews.com, NBA.com and NFL.com, among other sites. Since leaving the Web-content firm following its sale to Walt Disney Corp. in 1998, Slade has divided his time between consulting for Apple Computer Chief Executive Steve Jobs and working on various startup ventures with Seattle-based investment firm Second Avenue Partners.
