Havas Chicago Senior Art Director Scott Rench is an avid biker. And he was very happy to find out that a recent Redfin survey determined Chicago to be the sixth most bikeable city in the
country.
In celebration of that, and in concert with Chicago Bike Week which runs June 12-19, Rench launched the #BikeDesk project. It's exactly what it sounds like: a bike
with an actual desk affixed to it that Rench will ride around the city to drum up support for biking as an efficient mode of urban tourism.
Of the project, Rench said, "#BikeDesk is about
inspiring people to slow down and find the time to be a tourist in our amazing town whether commuting to and from work or even during their lunch hour."
Of course, part of the campaign
encourages people to submit bike-related photos to social media using the hashtag #BikeDesk. Ideally, the city won't fill up with kooks, actually trying to work at these desks while they bike them
around the city.
