Carmichael Lynch Wins Sierra Trading Post Ad Account

Minneapolis-based Carmichael Lynch, part of the Interpublic Group, has been hired by Sierra Trading Post, the online, off-price retailer for creative advertising duties after a review.

There was no incumbent. Sierra Trading Post was purchased by The TJX Companies—parent company of TJ Maxx and other stores--in 2012 for approximately $200 million. In addition to its e-commerce business Sierra operates a handful of brick-and-mortar stores.

Other contenders in agency review were not immediately identified.

“We’re excited to be working with Carmichael Lynch to add to the momentum behind the Sierra Trading Post brand,” said Karen Coppola, CMO at The TJX Companies.  “We have a shared vision for our outdoor-oriented brand and we’re looking forward to seeing that vision come to life.”

Earlier this year Carmichael Lynch won the U.S. Bank AOR while it parted ways with nutrition company GNC.
