Criteo Raises 2015 Revenue Expectations But Misses On Q2 Earnings Per Share

Retargeting firm Criteo on Tuesday released its second quarter 2015 earnings, revealing that the company saw €271 million ($295 million) in revenue during the quarter.

The company’s revenue ex-TAC (excluding traffic acquisition costs) was €110 million ($120 million), which was ahead of the expected €105 million to €107 million ($114.3 million to $116.5 million).

Despite these higher-than-expected revenue figures, shares of Criteo had, at press time, tumbled nearly 12% on the day. Shares have dropped because the company missed on its expected earnings per share, which came in at €0.15, below the anticipated €0.17, notes TheStreet.com.

Criteo was profitable during the quarter, reporting €4 million in profit ($4.4 million) -- double the profit Criteo reported during the same time period in 2014.

Criteo has raised its 2015 revenue guidance, and is now expecting somewhere between €470 million to €475 million in ex-TAC revenue by year’s end ($512 million to $517 million). The company was previously expecting 2015 ex-TAC revenue to land between €454 million and €460 million ($495 million to $501 million).
