Droga5 Europe was named the first agency of record for UK-based charity, Hepatitis C Trust. Established in 2001, the Hepatitis C Trust aims to raise awareness and testing for those affected or at risk
of contracting hepatitis C. The charity has offices in London and Edinburgh. The agency is tasked with creating a global campaign to educate the public and raise awareness of the illness. The disease
infects the liver and can lead to cirrhosis, yet is a curable virus. The first campaign is scheduled to launch later this year. "Hepatitis C affects over 215,000 people in the UK and more than 150
million people globally, yet the virus has historically been neglected within society," said Charles Gore, chief executive at the Hepatitis C Trust. "We are looking forward to teaming up with Droga5
to further spread awareness and ultimately motivate people to get involved." Added Nick Simons, managing director of Droga5 Europe: "The Trust tapped us to help them create content that sits above all
the other noise in the market and inspires society to get educated and involved."
