Frisch's Looks For New Opportunity Under New Owner

The Big Boy was once a common sight in the U.S. Now will it will have to be retro cool like Pabst to make a comeback? The chain’s new owner as of last week, NRD Capital, is pushing to expand to more franchise locations in the U.S., as well as retool the restaurants to bring in the younger set. Frisch’s new CEO Aziz Hashim (chief of NRD) says it will introduce things like shareable plates and more hip dishes. The chain has 121 stores in the U.S.
