AppCoach Lands $10M In Funding, Expands Mobile Video

Mobile ad tech platform Appcoach announced $10 million in series A funding this week. The China-based company offers display, video and native ads programmatically. Yonghua Capital led the new round of funding.

Appcoach has provided support, analytics and ad servicing for 450 mobile apps in 150 countries, but plans to use the new funding to expand its reach, with a focus on mobile video markets in the United States, Europe, India and Latin America.

The company also provides data optimization and performance marketing.

Its mobile ad marketplace has an affiliate network as well as inventory of display, video and native units.

"With this investment, Appcoach plans to expand our global reach... As mobile usage continues to rampantly evolve, the opportunities for marketing are not just compelling, but necessary," said Appcoach CEO Kent Wang.

Citing a MarketingLand statistic that predicts there will be 2 billion smartphone users next year, Appcoach hopes to take advantage of this global growth with its focus on expansion. The company plans to leverage its knowledge and experience to help companies break into China’s competitive and highly regulated mobile ad market.

Appcoach plans to utilize its joint business program partnership with Google, through which Appcoach shares Google's China Incentive Program and Display and Video Incentive Program privileges.

Yonghua Capital focuses on high-tech enterprises, having backed more than 80 companies in many different sectors.
