About 45% of U.S. small business owners said traffic from search engines was important as a source of new business opportunities in August 2015, down 5% from the same month in 2014, according to
the Small Business Authority. Earlier this year, Capital One Spark Business polled U.S. small-business owners about the marketing tactics generating the most return on investment. Only 13%
chose search engine optimization (SEO), although 18% chose online advertising -- which could include paid search. eMarketer compiled the data, which suggests that small business owners are
