Bonnier Motorcycle Division Launches Marketing Agency For Power Sports Advertisers

Bonnier Motorcycle Group has started a new in-house marketing agency for power sports advertisers, called Quickshift. It will provide marketing programs for clients of the group, which comprises 12 media brands, including Cycle World and Motorcyclist.

Bonnier Motorcycle Group marketing services general manager Garrett Kai will head the division.

“We felt that there was sufficient business demand and the timing was right to launch QuickShift,” Kai told Publishers Daily.

Quickshift will work with Motorcycle Group’s sales staff to deliver agency-like services, including video, PR, social media, custom content, advertising, events and outreach. The group claims to reach 8.3 million enthusiasts across its 12 brands. Power sports clients include, for example, motorcycles, ATVs, riding gear and helmet companies.

QuickShift also has access to a large audience from their partnerships with MSN, AOL, Yahoo, Daily Motion and other video and content channels.

“We were seeing an increasing demand for marketing services and custom programs from our clients over the past two years, and it has been exciting to help our customers with these new marketing programs,” Kai stated.

The marketing agency will also be looking at companies that are related to the power sports industry, Kai told Publishers Daily, including energy drinks, backpacks and other relevant lifestyle brands.

“We have already been receiving requests from our customers for several project proposals and our advertisers seem to feel that this is new but natural extension of the business for the Bonnier Motorcycle Group,” Kai stated.

Bonnier formed Motorcycle Group when it bought nine titles from Source Interlink two years ago.
