Havas, Publicis Pay Tribute To Those They Lost In Paris Attacks

Havas and Publicis both lost highly regarded employees in the recent Paris Terrorist attacks and are remembering them publicly and privately in different ways.

In remembrance of Havas Health Art Director Christophe Foultier, the agency has launched a giving campaign in concert with #GivingTuesday that will benefit Foultier's family, his wife and two children.

In an open letter to the advertising community, Havas Global CEO Donna Murphy wrote: "We stand together in support of France and our Havas Health agency in Paris in mourning Christophe Foultier, a dear member of our team who lost his life in the massacre at the Bataclan last Friday. And now we can stand together to reach out to Christophe’s wife and children and help ensure that their future is financially secure."

Last week Publicis published a tribute on Facebook in memory of the two employees who were killed and the three who were injured in the attacks. The two employees who were killed were attending the concert at the Bataclan. Fabrice Dubois was Creative Director of Publicis Conseil, which he joined 12 years ago. Yannick Minvielle was the co-Creative Director of RED.

Dubois was praised for being an “excellent copywriter, brimming with kindness and with talent. He had a huge heart, and he loved many things: tennis, the movies, and music, of course. Lovable, funny, kind, willing, talented, he was appreciated by all.”

Minvielle was said to have “truly grabbed life with both hands. He was happiness incarnated. He took advantage of each day with a savor for life that was enviable. Yannick incarnated the soul of RED, his agency. Without him, RED would not be the agency we know it to be today.”

A Publicis spokesperson said that other communications surrounding the loss of the firm’s  two colleagues was done internally.
