Unsurprisingly, Automotive Work Scores Big At Detroit's Annual D Show

Last Wednesday night the Adcraft Club of Detroit held its ninth annual D Show, which honors the region's best creativity. Five out of the show's nine "Best of" winners consisted of work from automotive companies or suppliers including Chevrolet, Fiat, Ford Motor Company and NGK Spark Plugs created by agencies Doner, Commonwealth//McCann, Team Detroit and The Richards Group. Winners were selected from 651 entries of projects and campaigns from Metro Detroit-based agencies or clients.

Birmingham-based Brogan & Partners took top honors, winning Best of Show for its work on the Michigan Woman's Foundation Enough Said campaign, which tackled sexual assault. Of the winning work and agencies, Adcraft D Chairman Brian Yessian said: "Our winners reflect the strength and versatility of the Detroit advertising community. We are proud to showcase our roots and expertise in the auto industry and also to demonstrate our creativity for different industries, including non-profits and robotics."

In addition to recognizing traditional advertising work, the D Show also presented its "The Ambassador" award to Detroit Creative Corridor Center for its Detroit Design Festival. The award recognizes a project or initiative that uses creativity to showcase the city of Detroit in a positive way.
