Online Retail, Shipping Sites Show Holiday Boost

Web sites devoted to e-commerce--such as KB Toys and RadioShack.com--and to shipping and postage--such as USPS.com--showed among the largest month-over-month gains in visitors, according to a report released Monday by comScore. Over 132 million consumers--four out of every five online consumers in the United States--visited retail sites and resources in December, according to the report. The department stores category rose 20 percent since November, with category leader Walmart.com getting a 37 percent boost. With 32 million visitors in December, Walmart.com was the third-largest retail property online, behind eBay and Amazon.
